Description

A type written note appears in book dated "May 8th 1924" with the address "756 Sherbrooke Street West Montreal" It reads: "Dear Mrs. Reed, I couldn't tell you how much I enjoyed Lytton's Life. Reading it took me back to the day when "A Strange Story" and "Zanoni" fascinated me; but I never really realised till I read this, what an able man Lytton was. He says all sorts of things that I wish I could remember, but I fear they will slip through my poor sieve of a mind! Thank you so much for the pleasure you have given me. I return the book to you with my warmest gratitude for my enjoyment..." (1st parag. of note, 2 additional parag. to follow) "Kate Ru_ with my love J.
